I think you may have tapped into an interesting theme with the Markiplier arc. Instead of portraying Jenna as a dumb girl all the time (even though she seem to be quite knowledgeable), why don't you make Jenna's problem a lack of common sense? This could also lead to an interesting dynamic between her and Marth as well whom she seems to trust despite the fact that she is an instigator.
Just a suggestion, this is all your choice of course.

@La5:
That's part of the point. She's not stupid, she's naive and awkward. It's the difference between knowledge and wisdom, where one is knowing things and the other is the ability to apply it. However it is not always evident since Jenna gets the short end of the stick a lot for the sake of comedic value as Marth is more of the down-to-earth straight-(wo)man between them, so sometimes she seems to have problems with both depending on the comic. Perhaps it's time for bigger arcs to play with that.

To the author,
Yeah bigger arcs could explore this better. What would be funnier is since Jenna seems to trust Marth implicitly despite the chip on her shoulder it could lead to situations where Marth unintentionally steers Jenna wrong. Or have Marth's attitude getting Marth herself into trouble?
I'm actually very curious about the relationship Jenna has with her mom. It's very much hinted that they don't get along. And where's Jenna's dad?
